EISENMANN
EISENMANN Germany is one of the world's leading manufacturers of paint application systems, biogas plants and thermal processing systems. Its products are particularly associated with the automobile industry.
Experts in the production of paint shops, thermal processes and renewable energy
EISENMANN AG is a German firm which specializes in plant engineering, which includes the delivery of surface finishing technologies, automation of material flows, high temperature systems and environmental technologies. EISENMANN SE was founded by Eugen Eisenmann in 1951 and now employs almost 4,000 people around the world. Its origins lie in wood processing kilns, which were in high demand in post-war Germany as construction expanded. By 1953, EISENMANN SE had expanded into manufacturing paint shops, introducing innovative new conveyor belt painting systems in the 1960s, as well as the first electro-dip paint coating plant in 1966. The 1970s saw these painting processes being adapted for the growing automobile industry, and by 1980, almost all major European car manufacturers had invested in EISENMANN products to ensure that their products received a high quality surface finish. This was also a period of technological change, as the firm introduced powerful computer-based control systems for its equipment and introduced electrified monorail production lines as well.
Constantly innovating to develop new plant installations
The 1980s saw no slowing of this innovation. During this decade, EISENMANN AG expanded its environmental technologies business, creating new ways of converting waste into energy via its range of thermal oxidisers. In 1986, the firm also introduced a world first with its high pressure paint stripping facility, and also introduced efficient new enamelling systems for household goods. In the 90s, the firm penetrated the ceramics industry, with its range of high-temperature kilns, and it also pioneered new methods of paint recycling. This was also a period of rapid international expansion, with EISENMANN Corp opening plants in Mexico, Thailand, Russia, South Korea and Argentina, amongst other places. This was accompanied in the 2000s with new facilities like the firm's global training centre, as well as revolutionary new technologies in the growing biogas sector. However, the company remains anchored in tradition, and the community in the town of Böblingen, despite being a global player. Around 60 percent of its workers are based in Europe, with the rest operating in emerging markets across the globe. Despite being a global company, EISENNMANN remains a family-run firm, with the executive board being supervised by Peter EISENMANN.
