Waterjet enables 3D cutting with a water jet and 2D plasma. The machine is equipped with a water table and two heads. One for plasma cutting and the other for water cutting with a 3D head. Opal WaterJet Combo is a machine that unites the benefits of ultra-fast plasma cutting with waterjet cutting accuracy. The use of two cutting technologies means that this machine allows to achieve synergy resulting in obtaining high precision cutting while reducing time and cost of machining. Elements requiring high precision, e.g. holes, are cut by WaterJet (without the effects of heat on the material), and cuts that do not require such precision are cut by plasma, e.g. detail by contour.
