Uses of Decoilers / Coilers
There are two main areas of application for coiler or decoilers. They are used for the production of band material, in order to wind up the produced raw material. Sheets are usually would up without an additional packaging layer. With plastic, cardboard and paper there are different types of solutions for winding them onto a coiler or decoiler. A sleeve made out of hard paper is the minimum solution used to pack in all non-metal materials. The second use for coilers or decoilers is the unwinding of band material. The unwinding of materials usually occurs during production processes. There are several solutions required for this process. Manually operated coilers or decoilers are usually found in dispatch and delivery departments. This is where plastic bands are unwound in order to, for example, attach products onto pallets. In series production, coilers or decoilers are often attached to punching machines. These coilers or decoilers unwind a range of materials out of metal, paper or plastic. Ideally, the cut is then wrapped up by a second coiler or decoiler just behind the machine. This saves considerable effort in terms of waste management.
Types of Decoiling Machine
Coilers or decoilers consist of a pillar, upon which a rotating wrapping device is attached. The turning of the coiler or decoiling machine can either be undertaken manually or electrically. With light and mid-sized coilers or decoilers, the pillar is mobile. Heavy coilers or decoilers are either stationary or integrated within a machine.
Coilers or decoilers can undertake timed applications with a programmable control system. This makes these auxiliary materials a very efficient investment.
Coilers or decoilers are available in a large variety of sizes ranging from small hand-held coilers or decoilers for light band material to stationary coilers or decoilers for winding up and winding off steel coils. These biggest coilers or decoiler machines can wind over 30 tonnes of steel sheets in seconds. A suitable lifting device is required to load a coiler or decoiler.
